Rules

You can probably safely ignore these and just keep three things in-mind:

  • Metagaming is very frowned upon.
  • Operate on a balance of helping > griff. Act like an antag, get treated like one. Don't be ahelping when medbay chlorals you and operates on you when you repeatedly break in.
  • Natural escalation is a thing here. If you're not an antag, and you and some other guy have been going at it all shift and you eventually end up killing each other, well, that's on you guys. Whatever, man.

Staff Rules

  • Always be as lenient as you can be comfortable with when punishing bad behavior.
  • Punishment is corrective, not abusive.
  • Second opinions are sobering. If other staff members are on hand, consult with at least one before making a decision.
  • Respect the universe. When you can act IC with the world, you are encouraged to do so.
  • Random acts of God require prayers and sacrifice; for everything else there's Centcom.
  • Permanent punishments require the approval of the Head Admin or Host. Precedent and repeated offence is not acceptable cause alone.
  • You do it for free.

Player Rules

  • Play your role first, others second. The crew has the authority to get shit done, and the responsibility to carry out their job's duties.
  • As a non-antagonist, defend yourself, but never look for a fight. Security exists for a reason, it's their job to defend the station, not cargo's.
  • Jihad is not an acceptable excuse for opening up a tank-valve in the medbay, ever. The 72 virgins who greet you in heaven will all be neckbeards, like you.
  • Stay loyal to your cause. If you're a traitor, do what it takes to complete your objectives. If you're an employee, never betray your workplace.
  • As a NanoTrasen employee, it is your job to improve your workplace and help your coworkers. Never betray your workplace nor make it unduly hazardous.
  • NanoTrasen employees don't discriminate. Don't play favorites, help fellow employees regardless of who they are or what they look like.
  • Joining conflict is an acceptance of risk. NanoTrasen is not responsible for the hazards you inflict upon yourself.
  • Final solutions should be minimized. There is always another way, and it doesn't necessarily involve releasing Singuloth or calling the shuttle. There is no excuse for collateral.
  • Centcomm is the final authority when handling major station issues. As a non-antagonist, remember that Centcomm can and will dock your pay if you fail to follow company policy.
  • Multilogging gives you an unfair advantage. Centcomm does not believe in human telepathy and will eradicate the xeno hivemind with extreme prejudice.
  • You sound stupid to other NanoTrasen employees when you say a word incorrectly. Remember, we're all judgmental pricks.
  • Failure to comply with company policy will be punished when there is evidence of it. The applications of company policy are interpreted at Centcomm's discretion.
  • No icky ocky, and vice versa.
  • Clown and mime serve the crew's morale and amusement.
